On October 24-25, Berlin will host the Polish Performance Festival “(nie) Obecność” (Absence), whose second edition this year is entitled: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁, referring to the title of one of Jenny Holzer’s most famous works.
This year’s Festival program will focus on a critical analysis of language, inviting viewers to reflect more deeply on the political and social responsibility of words. The artistic presentations are intended to encourage reflection on the consequences of our messages in a world where language is not only a means of expression and a vehicle for emotions, but often a dangerous tool of manipulation, leading to misinformation and chaos.
The idea behind this innovative festival is therefore to encourage authentic dialogue and effective communication, which, through genuine and sincere understanding, eliminates chaos and increasingly widespread misunderstanding.
We cordially invite you to join us!
