Dariusz Fodczuk

A visual artist and performer, born in 1966 in Pisz. He studied at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and the University of the Arts in Poznań. He currently works at the Faculty of Media Arts, Photography, and Experimental Film at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. His work often reflects a commitment to dignity and freedom. Frequently taking the form of critical opposition to control in art, culture, and its institutions. Throughout his video works and installations over the years, he has taken a stand against racism and anti-Semitism. In his recent works, he often addresses the theme of labor, understood as a fundamental element of the cognitive process. His works have been shown at more than 200 festivals and group exhibitions, as well as over 40 solo exhibitions and presentations in Poland, Europe, North America, and Asia.
